Mr. Baker's Neighborhood

This building is typical of the architecture in our neighborhood, complete with the ubiquitous red phonebox in the foreground . Tip #1: buy your phonecard when you arrive in England; you get hundreds of minutes to the U.S. for just a few quid.

The WiFi here is terribly unreliable so I am running two days behind with these entries. Let me show you a little bit of our neighborhood in London. Here is our local, "The Pride of Paddington" just around the corner on Praed St.

Here is our church, St James, across the street near a lovely little park.
This it the view from our apartment window; Hyde Park is in the background. Linda, this is where Mrs. Palfrey was filmed.

More tomorrow: St Paul's, The Globe....

Beautiful lodgings, Charles. You'll have to tell me about them when you get back. I do remember the bell episode in GG and sympathize with y'all. Keep blogging. It brightens an otherwise dull day. J~
